Mike Nelson

As director of Internet technology and strategy at IBM, Mike Nelson manages a team helping define and implement IBM's Next Generation Internet strategy. Nelson also plays an integral role in IBM's involvement in the Global Internet Project. Prior to joining IBM in 1998, Nelson was director for technology policy at the FCC. With a broad range of government experience, Nelson has also served as special assistant for information technology at the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy and as a professional staff member for the Senate's Subcommittee on Science, Technology, and Space.
