Jean has her own company, Well-Tempered Web Design, in Portland, Oregon. Her clients are primarily arts-related small businesses. She is also an instructor in web design and computer graphics at Pacific Northwest College of Art, Portland's leading institution for art education. Prior to starting her own company, Jean worked for a children's multimedia software start-up, PrintPaks, which was eventually acquired by Mattel. At PrintPaks, she was responsible for internet marketing and localization projects in France, Germany and the U.K. Jean came to Portland from New York City, where she worked for several years in book publishing as a rights director and literary agent. She holds an M.A. in Russian history from Princeton University, and graduated with honors in History from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She was born and raised in Miami, Florida, which she hopes will prepare her for the African climate!
Jean worked with TSS, a solutions provider based in Accra. She helped them with Web design as well as marketing of their software that is geared toward the hospitality industry.
