Josh grew up in Cambridge, MA, went to school at Williams College in western MA, took some time off in the middle to go check out the San Francisco Bay Area, and then graduated in '99 with a CS degree. He then spent a little more than 3 years working at the same desk for an ever-changing company that specialized in software for trucking companies and their clients. The people were great and the technology was remarkably cutting edge... but, really, trucks? In any case, he spent about 2 1/2 contented years there doing C++ and then Java stuff before the company started feeling the impact of the demise of the internet bubble. He ended up quitting before he was let go ;-) in October 2002 and has since been catching up with old friends and just generally looking for interesting things to do. And that's where Geekcorps comes in.
