Koby Koomson also joins the board of advisors to continue Geekcorps' growing involvement in Ghana. Koomson served as the Ambassador of the Republic of Ghana to the United States between 1997 and 2001. As ambassador, Koomson worked to improve bilateral diplomatic relations with the United States, focusing on the advancement of education and trade within Ghana. Koomson's personal ties to Ghana and West Africa will help Geekcorps bring new technology and skills to the region while respecting and preserving the local customs and traditions.
