The Smart Technology for a Smarter Business Program is a highly practical training curriculum that enables small business owners and managers to build a smarter business with technology. It bridge the traditional business skills and software usage training classes given by microenterprise development organizations, with a whole new training curriculum - one that teaches microentrepreneurs how to make their business more efficient and profitable, using technology.

The Smart Technology for a Smarter Business Program utilizes experiential learning techniques that engage participants in group and individual discussion, exploration, and hands-on simulation-based activities. The multi-faceted training approach, combined with a practical, problem-based introduction to technology in business provides a unique and enjoyable learning experience. Participants will be equipped to instantly put technology to use in their businesses.

The Smart Technology for a Smarter Business Program was funded by a a $1.5 million grant from Hewlett Packard Corporation's Microentrepreneur Acceleration Program, and allowed Geekcorps to enter a new facet of adult education, formal instructor-led training, and new geography, developed countries like the USA and Europe.
