Funding Partners
- The United States Agency for International Development is the primary funder of Geekcorps programs including Geekcorps’ Last Mile Initiative, Accessing International Markets through Information Technology, and the Digital Freedom Initiative.
- The Hewlett Packard Corporation supported the development of Geekcorps’ Smart Technology for a Smarter Business Program, the highly practical training curriculum that enables small business owners to build a smarter business with technology.
- The International Fertilizer Development Center is the lead implementer of the Market Information Systems and Traders’ Organizations of West Africa, which aims to increase regional agricultural trade and food security in West Africa. Geekcorps is developing the technical ability of MISTOWA to gather, analyze, and distribute crop price and availability data.

- Geekcorps and VIA Technologies have partnered in VIA’s pc-1 Empowerment Connectivity Initiative to bring innovative technology hardware solutions and business models to the next 1 billion consumers.

- Wherever possible, Geekcorps partners with the American Chambers of Commerce to engage their membership in Geekcorps business capacity and development activities, such as the American Lebanese Chamber of Commerce and AIM-IT.

- The Nonprofit Technology Enterprise Network (N-TEN) works to support the diverse people and organizations who help nonprofits understand and employ technology effectively, often inviting Geekcorps to participate in its ongoing conferences and workshops.
The Smart Technology for a Smarter Business Program is a highly practical training curriculum that enables small business owners and managers to build smarter businesses with technology. Unlike traditional training experiences that focus on either technology or business, the program targets the integration of both. Multi-faceted, innovative, and experiential, the program addresses 19 different business topics, in 5 different languages, and includes case scenarios, virtual entrepreneurs, technology demos and activities, facilitated discussions, and computer-based simulations. It introduces up-to-date technologies in the marketplace that are accessible worldwide.
